flashnews magazine
This project was developed through the analysis and use of GAN neural networks and artificial text intelligence, through which a realistic newspaper was designed and created that, to the untrained eye, could be mistaken for an official newspaper. The basic idea is based on wanting to present the public with an object that is recognisable to any human being, which is nor mally trusted and whose information is usually associated with truth and professionalism. However, this object is deceptive in nature: all the articles written and images printed on pa per are created using artificial intelligence, some are realistic while others are clearly absurd, amusing and paradoxical news items. The viewer is invited to interact with the objects on di splay, encouraging them to read and interpret them. It is then up to their critical spirit to navigate through the maze of fake news printed in black and white. Certainly, many will remain confused, others annoyed, others amused, while some will even be surprised by the information reported, believing it to be true. This project aims to highlight the problem of information that is created with the aim of deceiving the reader. This is happe ning more and more often online, especially on digital platforms such as Facebook, but not only there. Articles are being created with AI and disseminated through bot accounts to fuel a war of ‘dis’-information.
